DESCRIPTION

Design of temporary column truss type bracing to support the column of a 5-story building in order to replace the existing column footing. The column was supporting 5 stories, thus the total factored load approx. = to +500 kips! The design consisted of 12x12 hss’s forming a triangular truss system that would sit on two temporary rc footings. Additionally, EOC designed underpinning and support of excavation for new pipe mains.
